Google has better pictures than I do, but I took this one. Pretty.

Fortune Cookie Soaps Haul/Review

A few months ago I was watching one of my favorite Youtubers, Say Anything Br00ke, and she was reviewing soaps from Fortune Cookie Soaps. I decided I would give these a try as I thought they would be a nice "decoration" addition to my bathroom.
Here is what I got:
I absolutely HAD to get (or so  told myself) the Fuit Loops one as Brooke raved about this one the most. I do love the smell of this one, just as Brooke mentioned, it smells exactly like when you hit the bottom of your Fuit Loops cereal box and you are left with all the broken/sugary pieces. The other two that I got are The Candy Addict(Pink) which is kind of cotton-candy/kind of just candy smelling and Caramel Apple which I do love the smell of: It's a very clean apple scent with a tiny hint of caramel. All these were under $4 each.
Now for the downside....dun dun dun.....they DO NOT lather. Well, they lather a tiny bit but you really have to work it for a few seconds before they start to lather. Another disappointing little aspect is that the scent (of neither one of these 3 soaps) doesn't linger on your hands after using them. If you put your hands close to your nose right after using the soaps, yes, you will smell the scent. But, to make it clearer, the scent of the BBW soaps ligers on your hands waaaayyy longer than if using these.
I also got the Wood Soap Dish (pictured above) as I thought it complete the "decore" look if you will.
Sidenote: What does it say about my "decoration" abilities that I bought Fortune Cookie shaped soaps for my bathroom in an attempt to make it a bit more interesting and less hospital-public-restroom looking?
Note to self: Do hire an interior decorator after winning lottery and buying dream house.
Back to soaps talk...As far as customer service, I do remeber getting these fairly quickly as well as getting an email from the company asking to leave reviews and sharing thoughts (which I didn't do).
I guess it's up to you! If you have better decoration ideas than I do, well...maybe opt for their body butters. They sent me a sample with purchase of their Dragon Fruit one and it smells delicious!

What da...???!!

I just finished typing a pretty lengthy post on Fortune Cookie Soaps and I went ahead and clicked Publish Post only to be greeted by an evil little message from blogger saying that there was an error blah blah blah blog post is gone.
This is what I will be doing for the next few minutes:

Outfit of a Couple Saturdays Ago

My boyfriend and I love to go to Little Tokyo in Downtown LA. It's so cute and relaxing..weird, uh? Oh and he loves to get mochi (for $1 each!) which I'm not a fan of. Anyway, this is what I wore on a pretty summer afternoon.
I am wearing a maxi dress by Forever21, skinny brown belt by Charelotte Russe, bangles by Forever21 (bought years ago) and my sandals were brown gladiators by shoedazzle bought last year.

I really do love the art on this wall.

This Summer's Most Worn MAC Products

I thought I'd share some MAC items that I reached for a lot during this past summer, which is now.. well... over. tears.
We have the lovely lipstick in Angel. It's just a lovely pink that goes on super creamy. I'm glad I picked it up on my last back to mac.
Cream Colour Base in Pearl. I have to say I bought this years ago and it's on its last leg but I do love it. It gives you the perfect glow on your cheeks, it just makes me feel like I put on fancy makeup lol.
Mineralized Blush in Dainty. Had I known how expensive this one was before I walked to the cash register, I probably would have not bought it... I do love the color and application though. It's a nice pink that I think would look good on most skin tones. I think I read on some recent blog that Kelly Osborne wore it to the Emmy's.
Oldie but Goodie:Mineralized Skinfinish in Soft & Gentle. I realize this is my 2nd "highlighter" of the post but I enjoy this one very much as well. Although, I am nowhere near close to hitting pan, I will hopefully use it up someday!
And lastly, we have Orb eyeshadow. This is the definition of lazy eye makeup day. Slap this baby all over the lid, draw on some liner and you are good to go...or I am at least.

Hope you've enjoyed your summer!

Jewelry from thecurrentcustom.com PART DOS!

Ok, back on blogger for part 2 of my "items I bought from the current custom".
I really love cuff beacelts and the Small Sterling Silver just hit the spot for me. These are $49 a piece and just like the link necklace, they are great quality!

I also wear this one all the time (here, I paired it with my guess watch). I've been thinking of getting a few more cuffs like this one to wear together.
And finally, I bought these lovely earrings from Lorraine's blog. I forget how much they were but they are the gold ones and they weren't that much more expensive than the cuff, I remember that.
